About RetroifyMe

RetroifyMe is an online photo editor that turns everyday photos into images that look like they were taken in the 1980s, 1990s or 2000s. It also includes the basic tools most people need before sharing a picture: background removal, background blur, cropping and compression. RetroifyMe is built and run by Quantum4U Lab Pvt. Ltd., a software company registered in India.

What You Can Do on RetroifyMe

Retro and vintage photo effects

Pick a look from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s or Vintage collections on the home page, upload a photo, and our AI re-creates it in that style, with the film grain, period color and lighting a camera from that era would have produced. Looks range from VHS camcorder stills and disposable-camera snapshots to school yearbook portraits and Y2K digicam flash.

Everyday photo tools

• Remove Background: cuts the subject out onto a transparent PNG.
• Blur Background: keeps the subject sharp and softens everything behind it.
• Crop Image: reframes a photo to 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5 or a free-form area.
• Image Compression: re-saves a photo as WEBP, JPG or PNG at a smaller file size.

What's Free and What Needs an Account

The four photo tools above work without an account. The AI retro effects need a free account, and each plan (Free, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly) comes with its own daily limit. Current prices and limits are always listed on the Pricing page.

Payments for paid plans are handled by Razorpay, an Indian payment gateway. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay's checkout and never reach our servers.

How We Handle Your Photos

• Your photo is used only to create the result you asked for. AI effects are produced by an image-generation partner that processes the photo for that purpose alone.
• We don't use your photos to train AI models without your explicit permission.
• Uploads and results are kept only as long as you need to view and download the result, and while your account stays active.
• You can ask us to delete an uploaded photo or a result at any time.

Using RetroifyMe Responsibly

RetroifyMe is for adults aged 18 and over. Only upload photos you own, or photos where everyone who can be identified has agreed to it. Photos of minors, including your own children, may not be uploaded. The full rules are in our Terms & Conditions.

RetroifyMe is a product of Quantum4U Lab Pvt. Ltd. The same team builds the site, runs its servers and answers every support, billing and privacy request.
